Divine Experiences Continued..

As I mentioned in my previous post, my baby's Aksharabhyasa was done in Udupi by Shri Visweshwara Theertha Swamiji..Later we continued to visit Udupi atleast once a year.. It gives a sense of satisfaction when you look at the Krishna Idol there.. Similarly Vidyapeetha in Bangalore is one such holy place. Often we go there and spend some quality time.
My daughter is a shy girl. She doesn't open up very soon. May be those are the traits that she has got from her parents, but once she is aquainted there is nothing that can stop her. She proudly and confidently does her work.
We once visited Vidyapeetha after the demise of Shri Visweshwara Theertha Swamiji. There was sense of emptiness and a void that filled out hearts when we saw the final resting place of Gurugalu... Tears flowed from my eyes and a weird feeling that we had lost someone very close to us engulfed me. I also asked my baby to pray there. She bowed her head and then we went and sat in a corner. There were many devotees who had come there to offer their prayers. A mike was placed in a corner and if someone wished, could go and sing a bhajan of their choice.
As we sat there, my daughter looked at me and said, "Can I also go and sing Shri Ram bhajan?". I was a little surprised as I always had to persuade her to do something. I asked her, "Are you sure? Because you know only a small part of the Bhajan". "Yes, I am going to sing whatever I know twice. This way I can sing for a long time". This was her immediate reply. She had already prepared herself mentally and was ready.
I didn't want to discourage her, as she was going to perform for the first time infront of the same Gurugalu who had taught her holding her hands. What more could I have asked for.
She went there confidently and sat infront of the mike. She sang beautifully the Bhajan which though was small but had a sense of gratitude and thankfulness to the God.
My daughter is always a surprise for me or rather I can say a Surprise Gift from the God. She never fails to make her parents proud. Once she finished singing we went and took the blessings of the current pointiff of Pejawara Mutt and came back home with a heart filled with satisfaction and pride.
