Small activities create Great Moments
It was a regular day for me..I sent my baby to school and as usual finished my daily chores.. i had to complete a blog post on my laptop so was little fast than usual.. By the time I was done with it was already 12.. I had to pick her up.
My baby seemed a little more happy than usual.. When we returned, she told me that she is grown up now. "Why..what happened? " was my instant reaction.. She said I would be going to a Vegetable market and shop all by myself. You need to give me Rs.20 for it. Now i had a smile on my face.. but I was more interested to know the details.. Then I checked the diary and I got all the details.. The school would set up a Vegetable Market in their Garden Area and we had to send an eco friendly bag with the kids for their shopping along with Rs.20.
This sounded so nice to me, because it had brought in a sense of responsibility in my kid. The event was day after. So the two days went by thinking what all vegetables she would buy in school.. Along with her, daddy was equally excited too as he was searching the best eco-friendly bag that we had in the house to send with his daughter. She made sure she even called her grandparents and inform them about the activity.
The day arrived. As soon as I called her name she woke up without any delay which otherwise would take atleast 20 mins. Then she got ready. The next big question was whether to take two Rs.10 notes or just a one Rs.20 note. Finally one note was selected. She said bye to me and confidently walked to the school. Then as usual I finished my work thinking what vegetables she would buy.. when I went to pick her up.. She came as usual herself without talking much.. After reaching home, she opened her bag as though it was a Pandora box and all the surprises would come out of it. The bag contained a small bunch of curry leaves, one tomato, one cabbage turnip and three ladies finger. This was my baby's first shopping experience.. I was so overwhelmed with joy. I am sure she will keep an eye on me for the next three days and I will have to give an account of all these veggies and the dishes in which I will be using them.
The picture of the vegetables was already sent to daddy and grandparents. They were all equally proud of their bundle of joy.
A small event in school made us create so many beautiful memories.. I am really thankful to the school for doing an event so thoughtfully and bringing a sense of happines and pride on my baby's face.. :) :)
